One credential.
One standard.
Thirty-five years.
Gregg Mueller did not set out to open a showroom. He set out to get the credential. The CKD — Certified Kitchen Designer — is the NKBA's highest professional designation, requiring documented kitchen design experience, passing a comprehensive examination, and ongoing continuing education. Gregg earned it. And then he brought it to Naples.
In 1990, Gregg and Dawn opened M & M Cabinetry & Design Group at their showroom on J & C Blvd. The premise was simple: Southwest Florida deserved a cabinet studio where a certified designer — not a salesperson — sat across the table from every client.
Thirty-five years later, that premise has not changed. Gregg still designs every project personally. Dawn still runs the business. The showroom still carries real door samples and real finish chips, because Gregg knows that a kitchen decision made from a photograph is a kitchen decision you will regret.
The CKD credential that Gregg earned remains the only one held by any kitchen designer in Naples. That is not a marketing claim. It is a verified fact.
